Q3-what kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

Q4-Who would be the audience for your media product ?

Q4- WHO WOULD BE THE AUDIENCE FOR YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT?

Audience- The assembled spectators or listeners at a public event such as a play, film, concert, or meeting.

Target audience-  A particular group at which a product such as a film or advertisement is aimed.

Audience is extremely important because they helps you make decisions about what content and information you should included and how you should arrange it . Target audience also influences the tone and structure of your media . Without an audience  you don't have any one to look at your work so audience give you content a significance and a purpose whether that is to inform or educate them. It is also the audience that contributes to the success of your media helping you gain profit .

After gathering some information from BFI statistics I have collected information based on a very similar film to my own called “The Black Swan”  from this I have been able to piece together what kind of people would enjoy my opening sequence. As you can see below, there is a rough outline of this.

As you can see  the YouGov profile of Black swan confirms that the majority of audience members were women aged 25-39.  They tend to read magazines and newspapers and a popular pet for them is cats.We Conducted spoken survey were we asked random people between the age range of 25-31 particular questions based upon our survey. For addition research we did a public random survey. And from the research we know that the YouGov profiles are corrected and that our audience will be aimed at the following age.We also asked student the age of 16-18 if the had any particular interest in our film and the did. From this research we came  to conclusion of who are target audience would be and it was clear that both ages mentioned above would be in this .

An example of the audience for our film is Anna Wicks.Who matches all the information set in the YouGov site above.

As you can see from the information Anna wicks is within the age of 25-39 which makes her a perfect example of target audience. She also has a strong interest in thrillers and books of similar genre.

Q5-How did you attract/address your audience?

Q6-What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Q7- Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

BACKGROUND MUSIC PRACTISE

Here are some of the  audio tracks I have looked at and combined with our opening. In order to create these tracks I used ordinary music which I felt had potential to sound good when mixed with the film opening. I chose four tracks and played with the tempo and clarity on garage band to give it a spooky feel I also added a drone to some of the audios where I felt it was needed. Underneath this description  are both the original tracks and my own track which I changed.

This track was made by James Blake. I chose to look at his music because most of his work is very atmospheric and I thought this would work well with our project. As you can see for this track I played with the tempo and volume. This was one of my favourite tracks as I thought both the lyrics and the songs worked well with the footage in our film opening.

Blogging health check 2

Over all I am pleased with my feedback I understand that one of my weaknesses are not adding detail in editing posts and not posting filming evidence on my blog I will work on completing my targets before the next health check.

BACKGROUND MUSIC PRACTISE

Melanie Martinez was also another artist I looked at as her music is commonly used in the film industry for example her track 'Soap' was used in the recently produced film ' Nerve' which was in the genre Thriller. In this track I also played with the volume and tempo. This was another one of my favourite tracks as again the lyrics worked extremely well with our narrative.

BACKGROUND MUSIC PRACTISE

Similarly to Jame Blake, the artist 'Tricky' also creates very atmospheric pieces of music with spooky feels for this reason I experimented on two songs of his just by changing the speed to make the overall mood very intense.

BACKGROUND MUSIC PRACTISE

Here is another track by ' Tricky'. This is one of my favourite pieces of music from tricky as it is both lyrically and instrumentally atmospheric again I played with the tempo of this track.
Overall I think the best suited where ' The Wilhem scream' by James Blake and ' Mad Hatter' by Melanie Martinez.

Task 3-
1- Use more apps in order to make work presentation more interesting
2- more evidence in blog posts
3- add location to research evidence

FEEDBACK 2

This is our feedback from class overall we were very happy and now know what we need to work on to ensure our work gets top marks. We need to start focusing on sound and the transitions for the titles in order to make our opening sequence flow seamlessly in the film.

VILLIAN AND PROTAGANIST

An antagonist is a character, group of characters, institution, or concept that stands in or represents opposition against which the protagonist(s) must contend. In other words, an antagonist is a person or a group of people who opposes a protagonist.[1]- WIKIPEDIA DEFINITION

In our sequence the antagonist will be played by Sophie. We will be able to clearly identify her by
her costume. As you can see above the colour black has connotations of both power and mystery

which we aim to communicate through our the use of costume. The fact the character sophie is
playing dresses in all black tells us that she is not only powerful but is yet to bring and cause trouble
In Thrillers the antagonist is commonly seen wearing full black attire for example in the move ' An Inspector calls"
the inspectors costume is fully black( example below). This is one of the conventions of thrillers
and for this exact reason we are using this idea. Although the antagonist in our film is not physically causing
harm he 'is' mentally and we see the effect of this on the female character thought our sequence.

PROOF OF EDITING

Some problems we noticed whilst editing our first sequence included inconsistency over two frames we filmed. In this first film still you can see our protagonist hits the alarm clock out of the way - however in the second film still you can see the alarm clock is still in the frame as if untouched. As consistency is crucial to our film we decided to reshoot this in order to make our film seamless.
